[ On the day of gift giving, Trucy will find a small package addressed to her, inside it is a handwritten letter, penned as neatly as possible. Upon further inspection, she may also find a blue bracelet tucked inside. ]
"Dear Trucy,
Magic shows have a beginning and an end, but the magic of Christmas never ends and its greatest of gifts are family and friends.
[Later in the evening, whether answering a knock on her door (to find no one there) or returning home from wherever she may be, Trucy is going to find a garment box wrapped in festive paper with a bow on it and an envelope taped to the top. The envelope reads "To Trucy. Do not open until Christmas!" If she opens it now or later, this is what she will find:
In the envelope is a card! It's a fairly generic happy holidays card, though the outside and inside have stickers added. On the inside of the card are some cute little doodles of cats or snowmen or reindeer and a note:
Merry Christmas Trucy! I hope you're having an absotively, posolutely fantastical one! We didn't get to hang out much during the sleep over, so consider this an official invitation to hang out! Maybe we can go to the arcade some time! I've been there a lot already, so I know all of the best games to play. We'd have a great time!
❤ Mabel!
In the thin garment box is...a stocking? Yes! It's a stocking! It's red with gold trimming and glitter covering it, as well as Trucy's name carefully penned in with what looks like glitter fabric paint. Inside this stocking is what you would expect in any stocking. From the toe to the top, it's filled with candy and a variety of smaller items, such as: A small stuffed white rabbit plush, a deck of blank cards, with the first one finished already and a note attached that reads "I thought it would be fun to use your own special cards for your tricks! I was going to draw more for you, but I didn't want to use them all up. Plus I don't remember all of the cards...but maybe we can draw some together!", and a light blue braided ribbon bracelet with black and red pony beads decorating it.
Lining the top are five candy canes, neatly hooked over the edge so they are just peeking out!]
Wrapped in bright blue foil paper and labelled with For Trucy, from Hinata, a gift! Inside the package is a mini sewing kit, with an attached little booklet on how to sew, in case anything gets torn up again the note taped to it says, as well as a set of playing cards, a coin, and several bright scarves.
And, two addresses and shop names are written on a card. One, for a tailor, the second the address of a magic shop.
Trucy,
In case anything happens to your hat again, the first address has a hatter who can patch it up. And I found a shop for magic supplies that you might wanna check out.
Try not to bring anything from it to class, though.
[It's the normal Christmas deal - overnight on Christmas Eve, Trucy's stocking is filled and a number of presents are left under the tree.
The stocking is filled with various different kinds of Trucy's favorite candy, a toenail clipper, a new toothbrush and socks. As for the actual presents? The presents include:
-a blue scarf -Her Christmas sweater. -books on famous magicians from different worlds -some simple blue bracelets and necklaces -a package of exactly five whoopie cushions (with a note cautioning to use them wisely) -a circus-y Holo(gm) interior. -a stuffed crocodile wearing a Santa hat. -Some magic props, including some more decks of playing cards, plus random mundane items that Phoenix assumes she will use for magic in some way. -One of these. -some random family movies such as Honey I Shrunk the Kids and The Goonies, plus a few video games and board games. -one container of kiddy perfume with a small note saying "You're ready for your first step." -There's also a thing of wood polish that is made out to Mr. Hat.
Is that it? No, that's not it. After all of the presents have been opened, Phoenix will make a show of saying he hears something from the closet. That's when he goes to pull out one last present for each Trucy and Pearl. The contents don't need to breathe, but Phoenix poked air holes in the boxes anyway for superficial effect (and because he feels like Pearls would be genuinely concerned). Inside Trucy's last box is a tiny kitten CyBuddy, with a head that seems to be bigger than its body and cartoonishly adorable eyes.]
[ Delievered by hand is a box wrapped in sparkly blue wrapping with a silver bow.
Inside, Trucy will find a top hat, which inside is a stuffed rabbit wearing a tiny top-hat. The rabbit is a magician bunny who can be pulled apart at the middle. It's a one trick rabbit. Wrapped around the proper-sized top hat is a blue scarf as close to Trucy-blue as Pearl could get with silver embroidered stars on it. And then this cool glow-in-the dark necklace. Everything is packed between a stupid amount of candy.
Tucked under the bow, in an envelope labeled "♥ Trucy!" is a card with a pair of glittery snowmen on the front being buddies. ]
Merry Christmas, Trucy! Let's make the new year ~*magical*~!
[ And from Cereal's resident grumpy librarian is a small, a palm-sized teal box tied together with a black ribbon. Inside is a small card and a tissue-wrapped item. ]
Trucy,
I hope the holidays are treating you well. As reluctant as I am to admit it, the party was not as stressful as I had anticipated. Please accept a small gift.
If I'm being honest, I couldn't think of something definitive that would prove useful to a stage magician, so if you'd prefer the enchantment changed to something different, do let me know and I'll see what I can do. As it stands, it can generate small shields if you are in need of physical protection against anything these blathering idiots that run the colony throw at us, and will allow you to remotely move objects with hand signals.
Joyeux Noël, Patchouli
[ The charm in question is in the shape of a diamond, teal and some sort of polished metal, much like the crescent charm on Patchouli's own hat. There's a small clip on the back for attaching to clothing or hair, and if she squints, she can see a heptagram engraved beneath it.
It does indeed generate small, Trucy-sized force fields, which are also teal, of course. The pseudo-telekinesis manifests as long as it's somewhere on her person--objects no bigger than your average hardcover dictionary, must be within five feet, etc. They'll move as if being manipulated by invisible hands, i.e. she can mime turning the pages of a book and the pages will remotely turn! ]
